Best Indian Football Players On International Grounds

Football is game that I like to watch every time. While most of my friends are cricket admirers, I am little different from this league. Not that I do not appreciate cricket, but football is something I have been engaged to right from my childhood. I always wanted to be a football player. My cousins were more into football rather than cricket, which is one reason why I am more interested towards this game. On international platform, our country has represented many sports successfully. However, somewhere we could not draw the attention of Indian audience in support of any other game rather than cricket.

I would want to show my patriot side when talking about games , but I do feel that our nation should support various sports that are equally important .Few days back when I was watching Manchester united and Waterford match , suddenly  it strike my mind , are we having any Indian players on international grounds. In addition, there you go; here is the list of few Indian players, who made a successful mark on the international platform of football.

Harmeet Singh– A defensive Midfielder plays for Molde club is an Indian born in Norway. He was listed in 2010, 100 greatest talents of the world. Harmeet started his career with Valerenga in Norway and then moved on to become a part of Dutch Eredivisie with Feyenoord.  An influential player of Molde, Harmeet have already impressed the audiences with 49 appearances. The 24 years old youth football player is looking forward to play on behalf of India, however there has been no approach regarding to the game so far.

Michael Chopra- People who watching football matches very regularly for them Michael is not a new name. A striker, part of Alloa Athletic had played for English Premium League. His most successful mark of career was made by scoring 63 goals, with 157 appearances for the Welsh club. Michael represented England in all youth levels and gained 27 caps in between 1997-2003.

Rajiv van La Parra- Named after Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Rajiv van La Parra is a versatile player who can operate striker and winger easily, plays for Wolver Hampton Wanderers club.  Rajiv is someone who is looking forward to play with Indian team and represent it on global level.
